「植物精油是有機的作用體」
讀書會一開始我的腦袋裡突然浮出這個想法,
這裡說的有機不是農業的有機,
是自然生命能量層面的有機,
天然植物精油配方的有機性呈現在兩個層面:
一是調配者;二是使用者。
每個人獨特的氣質及能量格式在調配精油配方時
與植物精油互動,多年的經驗中我常見到
相同配方、滴數、調配順序,但是不同的人調配出不同的氣味。
調配好的個人處方運用到使用者身上之後
回應個體當下身心狀態的需要,
作用在需要部位或者呈現出使用者喜好的氣味。
芳香想想第二回精油讀書會的檸檬、快樂鼠尾草、
月桂、甜羅勒四種精油,我看到的共同點是激勵放鬆、滋補神經
激勵放鬆
激勵放鬆的概念指的是因過度緊繃或長期緊張造成神經疲乏時,
需要先多一點刺激改變緊張、緊繃的慣性,然後身、心才能放鬆。
生活中最常見到的例子:小孩子睡覺前玩的太興奮不易入睡;
忙得精疲力竭,身體累得不得了,卻睡不著。
滋補神經
神經遍佈全身,是人體對內及對外的溝通細胞,
全天 24 小時隨時隨地接收-處理-回應訊息,
感受著來自外界環境、氛圍、溫度、濕度、聲音、
光線、氣味同時,也感受著身體內的氣體、血液、激素、
器官等運動變化的訊息,因訊息刺激而被激活
進而產生各種身體動作及反應,如此周而復始。
滋補神經有幾個層面:
維持感覺神經末梢穩定持續接收及傳送訊息;
維持神經纖維持續穩定傳送訊息;
感覺神經突觸與運動神經突觸交換、處理訊息時
有充分的空間及時間。
假日班與平日班調配出主題為「醒腦、利神經」
及「淨化、促進流動」的身體按摩油,
由於天氣漸熱學員們決定選用杏核仁油做為基礎媒介油,
調配濃度為 1%。
「醒腦、利神經」適合塗抹在頭、頸、肩、背及面部,
「淨化、促進流動」適合全身塗抹
我的提醒:
由於內含檸檬精油,
塗抹、按摩時須留意使用後 3-4 小時避免直接照射陽光,
或可覆蓋防曬霜。

Plant Essential Oils are Organic Entities
This thought suddenly popped into my mind at the beginning of the reading group: the "organic" I'm referring to here isn't agricultural organic, but rather organic at the level of natural life energy. The organic nature of natural plant essential oil formulations manifests on two levels: the blender and the user.
Each person's unique temperament and energy signature interact with the essential oils when blending a formula. In my experience, I've often observed that even with the same formula, number of drops, and blending sequence, different individuals will create distinct aromas.
Once the blended personal formula is applied to the user, it responds to the individual's current physical and mental needs, acting on the required areas or even manifesting an aroma preferred by the user.
Considering the four essential oils — Lemon, Clary Sage, Laurel, and Sweet Basil — from the second "Essentialtalk aromatherapy study group", the common threads I observed are 'stimulating relaxation' and 'nourishing nerves'.
Stimulating Relaxation
The concept of stimulating relaxation refers to situations where nerve fatigue is caused by excessive tension or prolonged stress. In such cases, a bit more stimulation is initially needed to break the habit of tension and tightness, allowing the body and mind to then relax.
Common examples in daily life include children who are too excited before bedtime and find it difficult to fall asleep, or individuals who are utterly exhausted and physically drained from work, yet paradoxically unable to sleep.
Nourishing Nerves
Nerves are distributed throughout the entire body, serving as the body's internal and external communication cells. They constantly receive, process, and respond to information 24 hours a day, sensing messages from the external environment — atmosphere, temperature, humidity, sound, light, and scent — while also perceiving information about internal movements and changes in gases, blood, hormones, and organs. Activated by these stimuli, they generate various bodily actions and reactions, and so the cycle continues.
Nourishing nerves involves several aspects: maintaining stable and continuous reception and transmission of messages by sensory nerve endings; ensuring stable and continuous transmission of messages by nerve fibers; and providing sufficient space and time for sensory and motor nerve synapses to exchange and process information.
Both the weekend and weekday classes blended body massage oils themed 'Awakening the Mind, Tonic the Nerves' and 'Purifying, Promoting Flow.' As the weather is getting warmer, students decided to use apricot kernel oil as the base carrier oil, with a blending concentration of 1%.
'Awakening the Mind, Tonic the Nerves' is suitable for application on the head, neck, shoulders, back, and face. 'Purifying, Promoting Flow' is suitable for full-body application.
My Reminder: Due to the inclusion of Lemon essential oil, please be aware that after application or massage, direct sun exposure should be avoided for 3-4 hours, or sunscreen should be applied.
